Senior Pastor Kevin Heppner’s passion is to be “a good soldier of Jesus Christ” (2 Timothy 2:3). He loves telling people the Good News about Jesus Christ and boldly proclaiming the Word of God, challenging and encouraging others to follow Jesus. Kevin grew up at the Evangelical Free Church of Turlock; and also attended Turlock Christian School where his father, John Heppner, served as Principal from 1972-1982.
After studying Bible: Youth Ministries at The Master’s College in Southern California, Kevin earned his Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. Pastor Kevin Heppner has also ministered in Turlock with other churches for over fifteen years, including Crossroads Church (the Evangelical Free Church of Turlock) and Monte Vista Chapel. Kevin’s ministry areas included Junior High, High School, College, Post-College, Young Marrieds, Men’s Ministry, and Family Financial Ministries.
Kevin’s lived in Turlock for over 40 years. Happily married since 1991, Pastor Kevin and his wife Cheryl love remodeling their old country home together and sharing it with their three children—Kody, Janae, and Caleb—and Garrett a high school exchange student from China.
Cheryl Heppner works for the Stanislaus County Alliance Worknet and enjoys putting HGTV to good use with friends and family.
Pastor Kevin’s hobbies include raising and showing his “show pigeons” throughout the U.S., having even raised several National Champions. It’s no secret he also loves to fish for anything that swims, particularly bass at McClure Lake. Like to fish? Ask him about an open seat on his boat…
